mag is a self-taught visual narrator who honours colour as a primary story-telling tool. Colour removes the veil floating over reality, according to Bergson, and reveals the essence of daily life. Objects, transfigured by shapes and colours invite spectators to stroll their eyes across the artistic surface and to renounce consciousness, for imagination.
A member of the Maison des Artistes since July 2014, mag has not adhered to any formal art schooling. He worked for a year with André Robillard, the outsider discovered by Jean Dubuffet. Then he studied photography with Agnes Varda, who supported his early works. To thank her, he painted Varda's portrait and presented it as a gift.
In 2012 and 2013, mag debuted his works at two art galleries in Orléans.
