Rodore is a painter, but also a poet, born in Perpignan, France in 1989. His poetic career began as a teenager, but he only discovered his desire to paint in his twenties, finding his voice through large-scale visual output.
Caught up in an irrepressible urge to create, Rodore explores waste disposals, fields and small villages to collect raw materials (trash, wood, metallic sheets, etc), which he uses as his canvases. Through this process of recycling, he feeds an imagination at once innocent and sombre. Strengthened by his travel experiences, the artist stirs together suffering, violence, be-bop music and childish joys, in an attempt to escape from his own neurosis.
